Big Green Tractor

Daniel works for Shades of Texas which is an awesome landscaping company (that also does many other things). My Uncle Jon is the owner and Daniel really enjoys working there. He come home tired and dirty 9 times out of 10 but he says he loves that!

Today I got a text message from my Aunt Brenda with this picture of Daniel doing one of his MANY jobs...

It made me think of the new country song that is out right now, Big Green Tractor by Jason Aldean. I really like this song and maybe one day Daniel will "take me for a ride on his big green tractor, because as long as I'm with him it really don't matter."
I am so in love with that man!!!

New Look

When I started this blog last month I didnt really know if I would keep up with it or not! I know I am very interested in reading the MANY blogs I read but I dont feel like I write near as well as them, so I was afraid I wouldnt keep it updated. I have really grown to love blogging and talking about all things going on in our lives so I might keep this going for a while. (Even if no one reads it.)

I also thought all the templates that blogger has all were very ugly but didnt quite know how to make my blog look better! So I asked my cousin Jennifer how she did her background and she told me to go to this site---and that's where we are now! Isn't my makeover SOOOO pretty??

Who knows, I might change it up again one day, but for now, this is SOOOO much better the one I had before.

Home-Made Pizza ROCKS!

On Monday night, after Ty's frist day of Pre-K I decided to try something different and fun for dinner with Ty. (Daniel had to work late-he didn't get home until close to 8:30 I think) SO--we made HOME-MADE PIZZA! I bought the personal sized already cooked pizza crust, some pizza sauce, pepperoni, and cheese and baby spinach (since we are trying to eat more variety of vegitables). I also browned some deer-hamburger with a little seasoning for extra-meaty topping.

Basically the pictures say it all-so heres the STORY---

Ty, adding his cheese and my pizza with no cheese yet next to his! He had so much fun being able to do it all by his-self and was very proud!

Basically-Ty LOVES cheese so he got to put EXTRA!

Dont you just wanna kiss those dimpled cheeks! I know I sure do! (By the way-He didn't get those dimples from me-I think they came from his Mimi though since she is the only one I know who has them!)

OH YEAH-I sliced a FRESH jalapenio and put it on the pizza we made for Daniel to eat when he got home-he likes spicy, so he GOT spicy!

Pizza is COOKED, good and cripsy, with a cup of milk, and a salad with ranch! We ate in the living room so we could watch Toy Story.

Doesn't it just look YUMMY!!!
Ty decided to take a picture of me eating since I was taking so many of him.
Ty CHOWING down, he cleaned his plate and at as much as I did, which is usual for him!
THE END-there was no pizza left and we will do this again for dinner!

BIG SCHOOL

MY BABY IS IN PRE-K!!

I just cannot get over how grown up and how big he has gotten in the last few months! He will be 5 in a very short 34 days - yes, you read that right! In a little over a month he will be 5! I cannot believe its been 5 years since he was born and that he is already in BIG SCHOOL as he calls it.

He goes to Morning Star Academy at Kathy Hopkins (Muga as the kids call her) house. She has day care kids but she also home schools kids and right now has up to 2nd grade. She is wonderful and takes great care of my boy! I am SO lucky to have a place where I feel he is safe and loved when I have to work! He is so ready to learn to read and do math that he cannot wait to move out to the special classroom she has for her Pre-K kids! We went and took a sneak peek this morning and he was SOOOO proud! :)

Here are a few pictures of this morning - - - -

BETHANY'S GRADUATION!!!

Last Friday (August 14th) we all got up early to head to College Station to watch our cousin Bethany graduate from Mays School of Business (Texas A&M).
We also got to spend some great time with my sister, brother-in-law and nephew. I hate so much that they live so far away (close to Dallas) but was so happy to be able to meet them in College station to visit. We all had lunch before the graduation and then after graduation we had dinner (with everyone else that came in town for the graduation) and then we drove back home.
It was a short visit but very much needed!
We also stopped by "Chrome-A Salon Experience" to see LaLa. LaLa is Ty's other dad's step-mom. Its a really long story to get into but I am very grateful that Ty has another set of grandparents to love him and care about him. While we were there, his Paw-paw and Aunt Tiffany (Ty's other dad's dad and little sister) showed up to see Ty too so it was a really nice visit. He really enjoyed seeing them!
IN OTHER NEWS - - - Daniel finished the tile in our laundry room this weekend! He is such a handy man and does such a wonderful job making our house look 100% better! I love the tile and how it turned out and can't wait to do the bathrooms and the kitchen - - -even though I know he can wait since tiling is such hard work! :)

can I say...I HATE THESE WEEKENDS...

When I have to share my Boy with his "birth" dad (BD)!

This weekend is worse though since he JUST got back from being gone for 33 days! Yes, 33 LONG days, home for 5 and now he's already gone again! It's ridiculous!

The court system in Texas really sucks! They have NO idea what all this visitation crap actually does to a child. I hate this for my child; I hate this for me. This is definitely not where I thought I was going to be, having to share my son with BD, even though we are BOTH soooooo much better off with him out of out lives on a daily basis.

**The Daddy we have now, loves him more than I can even explain and is such an awesome daddy. (We are so thankful for everything he has done just because he loves us and wants to, not because he has to.)

I hate dropping Ty off at school on Friday mornings, knowing BD will pick him up that night and it will be 3 days till I get to talk to him or see him again. Its even harder when he tells me he doesn't want to go there, that he just wants to stay at HIS house.

I just don't understand all this, and no-one else seems to know what I feel either!

It gets really frustrating!!

Until next time--I'll be waiting for Sunday--

MY BOY IS HOME!!!

YES, that's RIGHT!! MY BOY IS HOME!!!

Ty got home at 6 on Sunday night!!! I gave him the choice of eating dinner at home or going to eat at Lupe Tortillas for dinner and he chose going out to eat. So out we went! After dinner we had some special visitors come see us and Ty was excited about that! Then we went over to Mammy's (Daniel's grandma who is wonderful) house to see her and "the nieces" (Alyssa and Raygan). The kids had soooo much fun playing since it had been over 2 months since they last saw each other. Bedtime was a little rough, but we got it all figured out and he fell asleep in our bed and once he was asleep I moved him to his bed. :) He slept until 9:30 on Monday morning. I had the day off so it was good for him to sleep in! Once he got up we went to see the movie G-Force. It was really cute and he enjoyed it!! At 1:30 I took him to school to play for 2 hours so I could go to a doctors appointment and when I got there to pick him up he was having so much fun riding bikes in the back yard.

THEN---we went out to Daddy's work to see this horse!

This is "What? What?". He's a miniature horse out on the property where Daniel works and we are going to teach Ty to ride him. Ty is very excited! :)

Today, I'm back at work and wishing I was home with my boy and my husband! But such is life I guess.
